Il Piemonte insieme alla città di Torino il 18 ottobre del 2021 ha celebrato la 15° Giornata Europea contro la Tratta di essere umani. La tratta degli esseri umani è l’accoglienza di immigrati (soprattutto donne) tramite mezzi illegali con lo scopo di sfruttarli. Degli esempi di tratta possono essere gli sfruttamenti sessuali, i matrimoni forzati, la prostituzione o lo spaccio di stupefacenti e tutto ciò e fatto con un unico scopo: guadagnare grandi quantità di soldi. Per questi motivi il Piemonte ha dato avvio al progetto “Accogliere la fragilità” dove cerca di prevenire la tratta e tutelare le donne immigrate che ne hanno sofferto con delle attività che cercano di trovarle e poi portarle in strutture di accoglienza più idonee. Dal 2018 al 2020 più di 6000 potenziali vittime hanno chiamato il numero verde (800-290290) per chiedere aiuto. In Italia esistono più di venti progetti territoriali da oltre 20 anni riguardanti questo tema e vengono finanziati ogni anno dal Dipartimento per le Pari Opportunità che si impegna anche in questo periodo di emergenza a organizzare degli eventi per sensibilizzare questo problema ovviamente ponendo attenzione a tutte le prescrizioni COVID e lanciando degli slogan come #liberailtuosogno. La percentuale di donne che il sistema anti-tratta ha preso a carico è di 81% e provengono in maggioranza dalla Nigeria e Costa d’Avorio. Il capofila di questo progetto è Torino.

WELCOMING THE FRAGILITY
The Piedmont together with the city of Turin on October 18, 2021 celebrated the 15th European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings. The event was held in Turin. Trafficking in human beings is the reception of immigrants (especially women) by illegal means with the aim of exploiting them. Examples of trafficking can be sexual exploitation, forced marriages, prostitution or drug dealing and all this is done with one purpose: to earn large amounts of money. For these reasons, Piedmont has launched the project “Welcoming fragility” where it seeks to prevent trafficking and protect immigrant women who have suffered with activities that seek to find them and then bring them into more suitable reception facilities. From 2018 to 2020, more than 6000 potential victims called the toll-free number (800-290290) for help. In Italy there are more than twenty territorial projects for over 20 years on this theme and are financed every year by the Department for Equal Opportunities that is also committed in this emergency period to organize events to raise awareness of this problem obviously paying attention to all COVID prescriptions and launching slogans as #freeyourdream. The percentage of women that the anti-trafficking system has taken care of is 81% and they come in majority from Nigeria and Ivory Coast. The leader of this project is Turin.
