Il sistema di accoglienza dei immigrati in Italia si divide in due parti: la prima riguarda i centri di prima l’accoglienza e gli Hotspot, dove gli immigrati appena arrivati ricevono le prime cure mediche, mentre la seconda si incentra sul Sistema di accoglienza e integrazione (SAI) e Centri di Accoglienza Straordinaria (CAS). Dopo che gli immigrati sono stati soccorsi nei Hotspot e nei centri di prima accoglienza, fanno la domanda per asilo e poi vengono portati nei Sistemi di accoglienza e integrazione. Al sistema possono accedervi chi fa la richiesta di asilo e chi è titolare di protezione. Per i richiedenti di asilo lo stato fornisce dei servizi riguardanti assistenza materiale, legale, sanitaria e linguistica mentre per chi fa la richieste di protezione ci sono servizi che si concentrano sull’integrazione e l’orientamento lavorativo. Chi non fa la domanda per asilo viene rinchiuso nei CPR (Centri di Permanenza e Rimpatrio) per un massimo di 90 giorni. Nel caso in cui nei Sistemi di accoglienza e integrazione non ci siano più posti per ospitare gli immigrati si usano i Centri di accoglienza straordinaria che attualmente sono 9 e si trovano a Bari, Brindisi, Caltanissetta, Gradisca d’Isonzo, Macomer, Palazzo San Gervasio, Torino, Roma e Trapani . In Italia gli Hotspot sono 4 e si trovano a Lampedusa, Taranto, Pozzallo e Messina mentre i centri di prima accoglienza sono 9 e possiamo trovarli in 5 regioni ovvero Sicilia, Puglia, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia e Calabria.

RECEPTION SYSTEM FOR IMMIGRANTS IN ITALY
The reception system for immigrants in Italy is divided into two parts: the first concerns the reception centres and the Hotspots, where newly arrived immigrants receive the first medical care, while the second focuses on the Reception and Integration System (SAI) and Extraordinary Reception Centres (CAS). After immigrants have been rescued in the Hotspots and in the first reception centres, they apply for asylum and then are brought into the Reception and Integration Systems. The system can be accessed by asylum seekers and protection providers. For asylum seekers, the state provides services regarding material, legal, health and linguistic assistance, while for those who make requests for protection there are services that focus on integration and employment guidance. Those who do not apply for asylum are locked up in the CPR (Detention and Repatriation Centres) for a maximum of 90 days. In the event that in the Reception and Integration Systems there are no more places to host immigrants, the Extraordinary Reception Centres are used, which are currently 9 and are located in Bari, Brindisi, Caltanissetta, Gradisca d’Isonzo, Macomer, Palazzo San Gervasio, Turin, Rome and Trapani . In Italy there are 4 hotspots in Lampedusa, Taranto, Pozzallo and Messina, while there are 9 first reception centres and we can find them in 5 regions: Sicily, Apulia, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Calabria.
